Information Products are simply books, e-books, tutorials, reports etc.. These items can be offered in hard copy or in digital format. Digital format will ultimately keep cost down. But there are great bargains out there for hard copy.
We are in the information era, everybody is screaming for it. So, why not give them what they want and make a profit from it. Maybe even a living off of it.
You can create your own information product. Doing this will give you totally control over your future. You will make more money and have absolute control and authority to take it wherever you want it to be.
Although, it’s not an easy task to take on but it is something anybody can do with a little discipline and creativity. This is where your knowledge and love for something comes into total play.

Selling information products whether they are your own or you get resale rights can be a completely automated business if you set it up to be so.
You can have these information products completely downloadable after payment is received, by an email link or directed to the download page. This is great because there is nothing you have to do but collect your money and create new products.
Here are a few ways that make it simple and easy to create your own product.
If you feel that you can’t write for the life of you, but you know the market you are going into and your passionate about it, there is still hope for you.
Option #1: Transcribe Your Audio
Create an audio of you talking about your market in detail. You can either sell the audio in the form of an mp3 or you can have your audio transcribed into an ebook. This is can easily be done by posting you job requirements up on www.elance.com and have people bid on the job. (You will be surprised how cheap people will do this for.)
Option #2: Making Interviews
Creating interviews with ideal candidates makes an awesome product that you can sell in audio format, digitally and printed. All three is a great way to increase the price of the product.
Let’s discuss how to find the best interviewee.
Generally you will want this person to be an expert in the market. He should have received awards or written or published articles in the market.
You can find such people using the search engines, blog’s and even forums. Once you pinpoint the person for the interview you need to convince them to do it. Let them know that by them doing the interview it will give them exposure, and ultimately increase traffic to their website.
Now you can’t forget that you will need to have questions for this person. You can go to forums in your target market and get the questions from them.
You simply start a new topic (in the appropriate area) and ask them, “What is the most important question you have about add your topic?” From those responses you will be able to prepare your questions for the interview.
You will need to decide whether or not you will conduct the interview over the phone or doing the interview through email. I suggest having a live conversation with them that you record an audio of.
To record the phone interview you will need to use a teleconferencing service such as, www.idictate.com. Then they will transcribe your call and you should have your transcriptions within a day.
Making Your Word Document into PDF
You will want to write your book in Microsoft Word, you can put pictures and any type of font face that you desire to. (Just make sure that it is readable.)
Then you will convert this document when finished into a pdf file. Sounds scary, but it’s not. I use a tool called, PDF995, it’s free. There is also a paid version, which will not have any pop-up advertisement.

To create your pdf file all you need to do is print the document to the pdf995 from Word.
Option #3: Hiring a ghostwriter

Here are a few guidelines for finding the right ghostwriter:
1- Make sure they have work to show you.
2- You will want your ghostwriter to have some relevant experience in the product topic.
3- Check the feedback of other buyers
Finding a good quality ghostwriter does take a little time, but can be a relatively painless procedure if you post a small job and have multiple writers complete it. This will weed out the poor writers and hopefully you will find the perfect writer for your job. Doing this will not cost a lot since it is such a small job.
It will actually save you money. Imagine paying someone to complete a job and it turns out absolutely horrible. Think of all the money you just wasted, and then all the money you will have to pay for it to be redone.
So how does it work?
There are two main sites to post your jobs, www.elance.com and www.rentcoder.com. They both work about the same. You will post your projects and freelance workers will bid on it. Then you will choose the right person for the job.
Here are some tips for posting your project.
1. Make sure to post your project in the appropriate category.
2. Give as much details that you can. The more information you give the better. It has even been known to lower the bid price.
3. Clearly state what your deadline is, even state that you are on a strict deadline not to place bids if you can’t guarantee that you are able to meet this deadline. You will determine the right person by the using the guidelines we discussed earlier.
Important Tip: Before selecting a bid, you should send the bidder an email stating that you are considering their bid, but wanted to make sure that they understand the project. Ask them to confirm that they understand and that they are willing to work on it.
Now that you have selected the right ghostwriter you will need to send them over the material for them to get started, it should be a detailed outline of what you want. When you receive your completed project you will want to add some stories of your own to add personality to it.
Option #4: Make Video Tutorials
This is the hottest new type of products, people are just eating them up. Using a nifty little piece of software called, Camtasia Studio. I used it to create the video’s for this book. You will want to make sure that you get a good microphone, so that you sound clear.
Go get your hands on this software and start messing around with it. Because this is honestly a must have for any business. There are tons of tutorials that will help you learn faster, it’s worth it.
